New Sunday Schedule Begins Sept. 12

Lovely Lane's new Sunday Worship and Christian Education schedule begins on September 12:

8:00 Worship

9:15 Sunday School for all ages

10:30 Worship with Choir

10:45 Sunday School for pre-K through 2nd grade
(Children are welcomed to this Sunday School experience
after the Children's Time in the 10:30 worship service)

Sunday, September 5, will be the last Summer Sunday with worship services at 8:00 and 10:00.

Sunday School Starts Sept. 12

Sunday School Begins September 12 and there are wonderful opportunties for all ages, preschool through adult. Read on for a list of classes and room locations.

9:15 am Sunday School for all ages:

Preschoolers: Room 208 (upper level)

K-2nd grade: Room 103/104 (lower level)

3-5th grade: Drama Room (Rm. 100, lower level)

Middle School: Cooking, stained glass, Gems of Hope, Ukrainian eggs—in the F’ship Hall/Kitchen

High School: Meets in the Study w/Pastor Paul

Adult Faith Issues: Room 105 (lower level)

Adult Romans Disciple class: Library

Adult Going “Green” class: Youth Room (106, lower level)

10:45 am Sunday School will be held for Preschool and K-2nd graders. Children attending the 10:30 am worship services will be dismissed after the Children’s Sermon. Children will meet in and can be picked up from these locations:

Preschoolers: Room 208 (upper level)

K-2nd grade: Room 103/104 (lower level)

Summer 2010 Building Fund Campaign Complete!

Thank you! The Summer 2010 Building Fund Campaign to make improvements to the church parking lot and main restrooms is complete! Through the generosity of our friends and members and the guidance of God, we raised just OVER our $30,000 goal!

The parking lot work is complete and bright, new white and yellow lines stand out against the fresh, dark sealcoat.

The design work for the restrooms is nearly complete, but, as with any construction project, there will be delays in getting all of the materials to arrive. In order to keep closure of our main restrooms to a minimum, renovation work will not begin until we have all of the new fixtures and materials in the building and ready to put in place.

Wednesday Night Live Starts Sept. 15

Wednesday Night Live is the name of our Wednesday evening family-centered fellowship and learning time. Here's the rundown of our fun and interesting activities!

Family dinner at 5:30 pm kicks off our Wednesday Night Live (WNL) activities. Take a break from cooking on Wednesday nights and join us in the Fellowship Hall for a great meal before heading to the evening’s activities!

Kids Klub at 6 pm: Children will gather in age-appropriate groups (preschool, K—2nd grade, and 3rd — 5th grade) and will spend an hour learning about being Christians through song, games, stories, food, and crafts.

Children’s Choirs at 6:00 pm: Children in preschool – 5th grade will participate in graded children’s choirs to sing praises to God and to play instruments, too! We’ll meet in the Choir Room and sing monthly in 10:30 am worship.

Youth Groups: Both Middle and High School Youth Groups meet from 6:00—7:15 pm in the Youth Room and lower level of the preschool to enjoy fellowship, devotion, fun, and mission.

Children's Weekday Ministries starts the new school year

We are pleased to announce the arrival of our new director, Mrs. Carolyn Barnes. Mrs. Barnes is a recently retired Kindergarten teacher from Pierce and is eager to start meeting the families of Children's Weekday Ministries. Her first day will be August 19.

We have welcomed several new teachers and associates for the school year. At Trinity Lane with site director Sue, Ms. Tamara will be the lead teacher in the 2s room with Ms. Paula as the associate. Ms. Jane will be teaching the 3s this year and Ms. Karen and Ms. Heather will the the associates in that room. The 4s class has Ms. Sarah teaching with Ms. Lori as the associate. At Lovely Lane, Ms. Dee will joining Ms. Julie in the 2s room as the associate. In the 3s room, Ms. Dawn will be the lead teacher and Ms. Hannah will be the associate. In the 4s room, Ms. Sheri will be again working with Ms. Kim.

We are selling t-shirts for the first time this year. If you would like one for any or all of your family members, print out the order form and bring it in to the director. An order will go out shortly after preschool starts.

For the first time this year, Children's Weekday Ministries is offering tuition discounts for families that are able to pay several months in advance. We are offering a 5% discount to families who are able to pay September through December at one time and will again offer the discount to families who are able to pay January through May. If you are interested, the first lump-sum payment is due by the 5th of September. We have put the pay schedule online to make it easier for you to learn what that amount would be for your family.

Our supply lists for Lovely Lane's preschool and BASE are now available. Our parent handbook is also available online. Please read through the contents of the handbook and print off the last page and sign it and return it either to your child's teacher or the director.
