Before & After School Enrichment

BASE (Before and After School Enrichment)

Lovely Lane's Before & After School Enrichment (BASE) is a state licensed, non-profit program administered by a director and volunteer advisory board. Our staff provides a safe and enriching environment Kindergarten through 5th grade students at Pierce Elementary School.

Why us?

Our location - we are located right next door to Pierce Elementary which provides us the opportunity to escort students safely to and from school during the day. It is also convenient for picking up and dropping off students.
We provide a hot breakfast daily before school and snacks after school while staying peanut free to protect those with peanut allergies
Enrichment activities such as Lego League, are offered in the afternoons and special programs like storytelling or visits from community resources (police department or fire department) are offered on days with early dismissals
We provide daycare on in-service and snow days. For an additional charge, we also provide daycare for days during Thanksgiving, winter and spring break, and the summer months.
We hire staff that love to interact with children. All staff members have been fingerprinted and background checked. Our staff is trained in CPR and First Aid. All staff participate in professional growth opportunities.
We offer flexibility. You can choose to pay for before and after school; before only; after only; or drop-in (pay per use).
We have an outstanding reputation because of our many activities and the way we work with parents.

Schedule:

BASE operates from 6:30 am to 5:45 pm
We escort students to school at 8:45 am and pick them up again in the afternoons at 3:40 pm.
Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 8:00 am and a healthy snack is provided immediately after school.
In the afternoons the students are provided with opportunities to join in on enrichment activities, play games, or go to the homework room to work on their school homework.

Cost:

Before AND After school: $300 per month
Before OR After school: $200 per month
Drop-in half day: $15/day
Drop-in full day: $30/day
We also offer childcare for days during Thanksgiving, Winter and Spring Breaks, and a summer program. Separate charges apply.

Registration:

Registration for currently enrolled students and church members begins Monday, January 23. Registration opens to the general public 2 weeks later on February 6. The registration form can be downloaded from the website, filled out online, printed off, and brought in to Mrs. Barnes' office with the $35 registration fee.

Information for Current BASE (Before and After School Enrichment) Families

2012-2013 Registration

Registration for the next year begins on Monday, January 23. Simply fill out the registration form online, print it off, and bring in the form and the $35 registration fee. DHS forms will be put online for you to fill out shortly before school is over for the year and we will need that paperwork before your child begins the next school year.

In order to ensure Lovely Lane's BASE program is a happy and comfortable place for all students, we follow some simple expectations for all:

Smile! Treat each other and our toys and games with respect.
Help each other and don't leave anyone out.
Walk inside the building.
Use an "indoor" voice inside the building
Help with clean up before heading to school or going home.
Don't talk when the teacher is talking.
Keep hands and feet to yourself. Treat others as you want to be treated.

Abiding by these rules makes Lovely Lane a fun place to be!
